I was never in a KH with one of the anointed but my husband's grandmother professed to be one and she was the perfect example of what one should be like. She special pioneered for many years, very humble woman, sweet and kind and when we had her over for dinner she would pull her WT or Awake out of her purse and she would discuss spiritual things and never gossip about others. She was truly a special woman and I respected her. There was no lording it over others. She was pretty special. She came in about 1912. She is gone now so who know what truly happened to her after death but I am sure if there is a heaven that is where she will be.

During Your IN Years If You Had Anointed At Your Hall, What Were They Like?
by LoisLane looking for Superman inthe scoop of humanity at one khall, the anointed ones" were a mixed group.. one bro, h. had been in for eons.
he was df for adultery, back in the day when they would announce your sin openly from the platform to everyone.

Kidz in North Korea
by fulltimestudent ineven in difficult circumstances life goes on.
these piks show some of the activities of children in nk.
they are usually not identified, but we can presume that they would mostly be of the children of the elites and their associates in pyongyang.. it is thought by western observers that only people loyal to the state are allowed to live in that city.. calligraphy is an important art form in the east asian area, and nk is not an exception.

I have read six books on NK and it is disgusting what the leaders have done to the people. The majority of the people are malnourished. You can tell the difference between a NK from a SK because they are much smaller. They have a program that anyone who did not agree with the government would be put in detention camps for three generations. The average age at death for these people is 40 years old. They are hunched over and have no teeth and their gums are black. They have bowed legs and arms because they start working hard labor at an early age. They eat mush everyday and they hunt for insects and rats to eat. They do not take bathes and they wear the same cloths without washing them for a year or more. They live worse than most of our animals live. The sad part about it is the world does not know what the conditions are like and they should be stopped. They are very similar to concentration camps. They live in the 1940's as far as technology goes. They beat children to death all the time when they are in these detention camps. If the steel a little bit of corn because they are starving they beat them. The books I have read are unbelievable. It is so sad and disgusting that in today's world we have people living in horrific conditions.

What about contacting Anderson Cooper, he doesn't seem to be afraid to touch questionable topics and Katie Couric has put on her shows pologmy. They both have done some hard hitting pieces. Another reporter that has been doing controversial subjects in Lisa Ling on American Now on Oprah's network. Just a thought. I would love to see the news do a story on this religion. The blood issue, shunning and losing your family, control, no college education for most, young marriages, the lies and pedofile. They could easily do an hour show on this religion and the destruction.

'We are all scallywags, but God loves us anyway' - My story
by Laika inperhaps the most profound moment of my life occurred when i was sat in a car with my dad.
we were travelling home and having a very jw conversation on the paradise, at least, it was until my dad slipped in one of those rare moments of honesty in the watchtower world:.
that moment really hit me hard.

Welcome Laika, I enjoyed your story and hope your family will stand by you no matter what happens. It sure is a roller coaster ride but it does get better as time goes on.

Does the borg really produce great readers? How much did you actually read when in?
by likeabird ini've been reading a lot and learning even more (project deadlines to meet), getting this overwhelming satisfaction and feeling good.. and then i stopped and realised that i never got that feeling when reading borg publications.. i also realized that i have probably read more non-fiction books in the last month than i did during my whole life in the borg.. for all my reading (and i was fully in) i read no more than two wt books cover to cover.
none of my study books were studied cover to cover and wts were usually quickly underlined and rarely properly studied.
magazines were usually flicked through and resolutions to read them cover to cover rarely lasted more than a few weeks.. i did manage to read the bible through once - but that was because i was always afraid someone door to door would ask me if i had, so i figured i should just crack on with it.

I love to read and always read more of what I wanted to read which wasn't the WTBS publications. Sure I studied at times but like most of you I don't think I ever read one of their books cover to cover except for the Live Forever book because that is what I studied to come in and we went over every paragraph.

Wholly, I am not sure if you will see this but I am sorry for all of the heartbreak you have gone through. It is really sad what your Mother did to her and because of it both of you have suffered greatly. I hope that someday your daughter will wake up and realize drugs are not the answer and I am sure you will be there for her if that ever happens. I am sure there are many people out there that realize if they could do it over they would cut the toxic people out of their lives instead of the other way around. I lost my son for a short period when he was 14 and went to live with his Dad so he could play sports. He ended up back with us two years later but he was a broken boy. I have never let him go and we continued to keep the lines of commications open. He has a beautiful wife and two beautiful children that we adore. We are a big part of their lives since before the birth of the children and it has only gotten better since we left the cult. I have told my son how sorry I was that I made him go to meetings and tought him all that nonsense which he never believed! Hang in there!

I am so sorry Sosoconfused that you are going through this. I can't even begin to image what it would feel like to have my parents send me something like that. In her own distorted way she loves you but she obviously won't put you before the Organization. I hope you can keep your relationship with your Dad. I am also happy to hear your wife supports you because there are so many that lose their whole families. Your children will thank you one day for getting them out of this. I know my son (never got baptized) is so thankful we are out and now our relationship has gotten so much better because of it.
Since I have been out (my family never in) I have found out from my sisters some things my Dad said. At Christmas he would cry because I was not there with them and one year he said "your sister is in a cult and we need to do whatever we can to not lose touch with her". I cried when I heard that but i was so happy to know how much they loved me. I was about 30 years in and even though I never gave up my family the relationship was broken because of all of the brain washing. I was always uncomfortable around them.
I called my Dad today to with him a Happy Father's Day for the first time in over 30 years and I know it made his day. When I got off the phone I said to my husband "this religion has really f**ked up so many families"! It makes my heart ache for all of those who have lost their family memebers. You have lost so much because you have a huge family and yet you don't know any of them, and yet they call this God's Organization!!
We are always here for you and I hope you will find even more happiness and freedom now that it is out in the open and you don't have to make up things. I know I feel so much better because I broke the last ties to it. When you make the decision you are going to live your life to the fullest and stop living a lie it feels so liberating!
